Burgaw’s music scene is getting a fresh twist this spring with the Burgaw Blueberry Jam Concert Series! Hosted by the Pender Arts Council (PAC) and proudly sponsored by Burgaw Now and Mojotone, also supported by Visit Burgaw and Visit Pender, this exciting new event will bring live music, local artisans, and community spirit together in the heart of downtown Burgaw.
The concert series will take place every second Friday from April 11 through August, coinciding with the popular classic car cruise-ins. Music lovers and classic car enthusiasts can enjoy performances from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dees Park, creating the perfect small-town Friday night experience.
In addition to live music, the April 11th event will also feature a pop-up market showcasing local vendors and artisans. The market opens at 5 p.m. inside PAC at 111 S Wright St., offering a unique shopping experience filled with handmade and homegrown goods. Signs will be posted to guide visitors inside.

Get Ready for the 1st Annual Blueberry Stomp! Join us for a juicy, stomping good time as we kick off the NC Blueberry Festival in style!
How It Works:
The Blueberry Stomp will feature 5 action-packed rounds with 5 fearless stompers in each. At 5:45 pm, we'll hold a blind drawing to determine which round you’ll be stomping in – so get ready for some suspense and surprises!
Event Schedule:
6:00 pm – County and Town Staff Stomp-Off! - Our local staff will kick things off by showing you how it’s done!
6:10 pm – Round 1
6:20 pm – Round 2
6:30 pm – Round 3
6:40 pm – Round 4
6:50 pm – Round 5
7:00 pm – The Blueberry Festival kickoff concert begins!
7:15 pm – Championship Round! - The grand finale, where the ultimate stomper will be crowned!
The Stomp-Off Rules:
Each participant gets 1 minute to stomp their bucket full of blueberries into oblivion! To move on to the Championship, you’ll need to be the fastest in your round. The ultimate winner will be the stomper who squeezes out the most juice in the final round – it’s all about those stomp skills!
A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
This is a messy event, so leave your fancy clothes at home.
We’ll have a water hose on hand to rinse off those blueberry-stained feet after the fun!
Let’s make it a stompin' good time – we can’t wait to see you there!
